The Sello Maake kaNcube Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Actor/Writer/Director Sello Maake kaNcube. Its objective is in decentralizing the appreciation of arts and culture, and engendering social cohesion and excellence through the performing arts.

At its heart, is Artists for Social Advocacy and Change Ensemble (ASACHE pronounced Asakhe, Zulu for Lets build). This ensemble functions on the premise of theatre for social development using the performing arts for social advocacy and disseminating pertinent messages to society and corporate in a multidisciplinary approach.

MISSION

  • To create and support mechanisms and means through which young people can discover, harness and fully develop their unique creative energies and their special talents.
  • To encourage the development of social cohesion and the promotion of performing arts awareness.
  • To aid the integration of performing arts and the personal development of underprivileged young people.
  • Through the use of performing arts, to supports human rights, particularly the rights of children and young people as well as the rights of under privileged groups and communities.
